Pregnancy and birth can be an overwhelming time, and it isn’t always easy to know what you need. As a doula I am here to help support you with hard decisions, stressors, and questions you may have.
I have been serving Brooklyn for the past 2 years as a nanny for children from infancy through middle school. I have loved children and childcare for as long as I can remember. Through this work I have learned to adapt to different families and their individual needs, as well as the individual needs of children. My career has taught me to be an avid listener, avid helper, and someone who never expects the same thing for any two families, something I bring to my work with doula clients wholeheartedly.
I previously worked with Planned Parenthood to teach sexual education in many schools around Seattle, and I fell in love with direct care. Teaching about consent, puberty, and birth control, I learned to support young people in an uncomfortable and transitional time, very similar to the transitions of birth and pregnancy.I want to help empower others to claim their own autonomy, whether that be in avoiding pregnancy or taking control of their own labor and birth; you are in charge of your body.
I became trained as a Birth Doula with Carriage House Birth in 2022, and afterwards completed a doula mentorship with NYC Birth Village. Now I am currently working through the lifetime certification process!
I am trained with Birthing Advocacy Doula Trainings as an Abortion Doula.
